A Note From Mr. Witherspoon:

March is finally on the radar and spring will, hopefully, arriving soon!!!  The school year is moving very quickly and, before you know it, we will be sending our Eagles off for the summer.  Now is a great time to start preparing for the summertime by talking with your child's teacher to find out their strengths and challenges.  The information that you gain from these conversations will help prepare your child for the next school year.  Great learning experiences are everywhere and summertime is a great way of taking advantage of the ones outside the school building.  

The PTA V.I.P. Night was a huge success!!! It was so nice to see so many families in our community getting to know and spending time with one another.  The dancing was outstanding!!!!  

This week we have the opportunity to celebrate some SOARing Eagles during our Eagle of the Month assembly!!!  This a time when students are honored, in an assembly, for going above and beyond while at school!  It was nice to see the selected students as they were surprised; however, it was just as nice to see how excited the other students were for the students that were honored!!! This says a ton about our students (and families) and how wonderful they are!!!!  

The next Character Trait that we will be focusing on is Integrity!!! Please have some conversations with your child about what it means to have integrity when the opportunity presents itself (and it will 😄).  We will continue to focus on different character traits each month as we strive to create a learning environment that meets the social-emotional and academic needs of each student!

Kindergarten registration is here!!!  Please share this information with any neighbors that may have children that are ready to begin their academic careers!!!  I can't think of a better place to do it other than Cleveland (but I am a little bias)!!!!

April:  Save the date....April 30 will be our celebration for the Marvelous Month of Math.  We will be sending out a Sign-up Genius for parents to volunteer to help.
